Group animals for management and track their physical placement.

- Open Herds & pens and create a herd with a clear name.
- Use the Pens view to add a pen, its capacity, and its herd association where applicable.
- Open a herd or pen to review its members and occupancy.
- Use the available member action or Move animal from an animal record to update placement.
Keep group records accurate
A herd represents a management group; a pen records housing and capacity. Check memberships before recording group health events or feeding a target, because those workflows use the selected group.
Retire a group
Use the archive action when a herd or pen is no longer used. Review the confirmation and resolve any active membership restrictions shown by the app.
